Umbria
The region of Umbria, the green heart of Italy, is a very warm and friendly region keeping the charm of culture, art and history very much alive. The respect for tradition as well as for nature, make this region the perfect destination for the most demanding tourists.
Land of Franciscan mysticism, Umbria is an open - air museum where you can find medieval buildings and marvellous Renaissance frescos, famous all over the world and still preserved today.
The region towns and villages, which are well-known for their high quality life style, have been built on its hills, chosen by the Etruscans due to their strategic position and for the great energy they generated.
The domination of the Roman Empire marked the area with Via Flaminia, still one of the region main axes of communication today.
The small towns and villages were often adorned with buildings of architectural beauty and decorated by artistic masterpieces.

Gubbio
The roots of the town date back to ancient times and every historic period since then has left its indelible mark. The Bronze "Eugubean tablets" date back to the 3rd century B.C. and are considered to be the most complete document of ancient times. The Roman Theatre (1st century B.C.) is one of the largest theatres in the country, only a little smaller than the theatre of Marcello and Pompeo in Rome. The daring massive structure of the Palazzo dei Consoli with the Piazza Pensile (14th century) has gained acclaim world-wide due to its wonderful use of space. The Palazzo Ducale (15th century) of Federico da Montefeltro is one of the most charming palaces of the Renaissance. The cathedral, churches, and palaces, the medieval streets, many castles, abbeys and hermitages scattered all over the area are further evidence of its glorious history. This is a town rich in ancient memories and famous traditions, where you can almost breathe in the history in its welcoming and beautiful atmosphere. In the hearts and minds of the towns inhabitants many stories such as the encounter of S. Francesco with the wolf are kept alive to this day.
